JOIN US ON A BUS TRIP

NRCA provides social bus outings on a regular basis to locations and Clubs of interest. Our trips are a great way to meet new people and connect with the local and wider community.
All outings are available to older people, people with a disability and carers who live in the Ryde area.
Our outings provide door to door transport at a cost of $6 plus the cost of your meal.
Our MONTHLY outings are set out below:

- Monday Men’s Social Outing
- Armenian Tuesday Outing
- Tuesday Luncheon Outing
- Wednesday Social Outing
- Thursday Social Outing

The monthly Wednesday Social Outing is one of our most popular bus trips. In February the bus took a scenic drive through the lower North shore, over the spit bridge and onto Manly Dam where we where joined by a large group of very noisy ducks and geese whom we where only to happy to share our morning tea with. Lunch followed at the Harbord Diggers Club, we enjoyed great hospitality and service, whilst enjoying a spectacular view out over the ocean.

What are you waiting for? Join us on one of our popular bus trips.
Call the Centre on 9888 3380 for program & booking information.
We look forward to hearing from you.

NEW MENS SOCIAL LUNCH GROUP

NRCA has commenced a new “Men’s Only Lunch Group “ who meet weekly at the Centre for a delicious three course meal, great conversation and male companionship. Door to Door transport is provided for a small cost of $6.00. Lunch is prepared at the Centre for $9.00.

The group has been well received with a regular 10 men attending. Six dedicated male volunteers help coordinate the group, drive the bus and keep the conversation flowing.

As one 83 year old clients said recently: “I’d like that….(men’s lunch group)…what I’d like to do is come in, sit down, say ‘Hello Bob’, ‘Hello Jim’ and talk about what’s going on in the world.

Call the Centre on 9888 3380 if you are interested in volunteering or attending the lunch.
